Frequently Asked Questions

What is your timetable?

We do not release our timetable on line due to safeguarding purposes, we offer a range of lessons across weekday evenings and will do our best to find a time to suit as many students as possible or we can offer private classes.

How much are lessons?

Group class costs are based on length of lessons and range from £3.75-£5.50, we keep our costs as low as possible, invoices are raised termly (currently half termly due to Covid-19) and payment is requested via internet banking. Private lessons are also available on request.

How do I sign up for a free trial? (Children's classes, terms and conditions apply)

Please fill in our registration form found on the contact us section of our website or send us a message and we will send you the link. Once we receive the form we will arrange a meet & greet to discuss what classes suit you best.

What do I need to wear/bring to class?

Dance shoes are required in certain classes dependent on genre e.g. ballet shoes or tap shoes. Clean trainers may be worn if dance shoes are not available, socks are too slippery and can be dangerous. Outdoor shoes are not allowed in the studio which helps keep it clean. We allow our younger students to wear whatever they feel comfortable in, many choose a ballet dress or t shirt and shorts, as long as it is modest and safe to dance in. Our older students can wear any black leotard, there are specific requirements for ballet exams so we are happy to guide you. A T-shirt may be worn over a leotard. A water bottle may be brought to senior classes in a spill proof bottle, this should be water only.

Do students take exams?

For ballet, tap & modern we follow the ISTD syllabus and Acrobatic Arts for acro. We offer exams once students are ready, it is not compulsory but gives a sense of achievement, satisfaction and enjoyment.

Do you do shows?

We all enjoy working towards performances, we have had three showcases at the community centre, there are opportunities to participate in other performances.

Can I watch lessons?

Due to safeguarding and the effect on students, parents watching on a weekly basis is not suitable. We arrange regular chances for you to see students progress, watching weeks, shows etc. Children settle well into classes on their own, by age 3 most are used to nursery, if there is a problem in class we will contact you.

Is there a waiting area?

The are areas for parents/carers to wait, we recommend parents of under 5’s stay on site as they require assistance for toilet runs, for older students you can leave site and return at the end of class. There is a seating area, access to bathrooms and the opportunity to get drinks/snacks.

Where can I park?

There is ample free parking available.
